A Finisher!

Yesterday, I completed my ever 1st full Marathon run, all in 42.195KM. The race actually started at 11:59pm on Saturday night.

The run went round the eastern part of the country, crossing roads, estates, parks, bridges (including overhead ones), uphill and downhill. The first half of the race was easy, the tough one started after that (>20KM), because your knees will start to 'complain', next, your legs' muscles and ankles! Along the way, you will see fellow runners stopping to stretch their legs and arms, apply ointment to 'destress' their body parts.

Every single KM looked like eternity, no end. Sometimes, it was so demoralising, thinking you had run a couple of KMs, but actually, only 1km! We knew because every 1km we had completed, there's a sign board that indicated the distance we had covered.

Amazing that I could finish the run, although I didn't run all the time (yes, I did walked some distance!).

Yeah, I'm proud to declare that I'm a Marathon Finisher! Cheers...
